This is the official Manual of Style for Young Justice Fanon Wikia and must be adhered to in order to ensure clean and organized articles. Articles found not to be in compliance with ALL of the following rules will have a one (1) week grace period, given to the page's author by an admin, as a way to allow ample time to correct the article. If no changes are made to the article, if there is no response from the author or the changes are not made within this time period, the page will be deleted.
Continuous violations of this policy by the same user will result in a block of that user for a period of time not exceeding two (2) weeks. If, after being banned, that user continues not to comply with this policy, that user will be blocked for a period of time not to exceed three (3) months. Additional continued violations will result in a permanent block of that user.
Articles created on Young Justice Fanon Wikia should be written as if the Young Justice universe was the real world. As such, no other referenced material from different television shows, anime or manga may be introduced. The one exception to this rule is the introduction of comic book information to the site, more specifically the introduction of comic books that are published by DC comics. Comic books that are not published by DC comics, such as Marvel comics, are not allowed to be introduced or referenced on Young Justice Fanon Wikia. Any comic that is published by the DC comics is considered to be “in-universe” on Young Justice Fanon Wikia, so long as they are based on Earth-16, the official “Earth” of the Young Justice universe. This excludes any comics and characters that exist outside Earth-16, including comics or characters in of the other multiverses and alternate worlds of the DC comics universe. Powers may be adopted or adapted from characters in other multiverses or comics, including Marvel, but simply copying and pasting themes from other media is not permitted and is considered plagiarism. This also includes taking concepts from other media and giving them a “Young Justice twist” (changing the most minimal amount of information so that it fits into the Young Justice universe). As aforementioned, this is considered to be plagiarism and is grounds for immediate article deletion and a ban placed on the creator of the article not to exceed one (1) week. Any article which has information based around the contents of the Young Justice universe, and any page added to this site, by default is considered an in-universe article.
All content on Young Justice Fanon Wikia is expressed explicitly in American English, given its roots as an English language wiki, and all edits and content is to be expressed in English only. The sole exception to this rule are names which may be of any nationality or point of origin; a user is not limited to just “English/American” names. The reinforcement of English as the primary language also extends beyond articles and also covers forum posts, blogs, and message walls also. As such, a user is required to know how to speak the English language to a degree that they are able to articulate full sentences that are both clear and concise. If someone reads your article, and they do not know what you are trying to say, then this is not only bad for the owner of the article, but the community, as well.
The format of articles created on Young Justice Fanon Wikia is a simple, paragraph format that include various sections. This is preferred to other formats and styles, including tiered or numbered styles, which are too complex and are prone to disorder.
On Young Justice Fanon Wikia, there are numerous infoboxes, a detailed table that allows users to categorize pertinent information on there pages. These infoboxes were created by the creator of the site, User:Wolfthorn, and cover all types of pages: characters, races, superpowers, organizations, roleplays and locations. Each is designed in a way that most of the information, but not all information, of the article can be easily displayed for the creator of the page and other users. Tampering with or making alterations to these infoboxes is prohibited and no other infoboxes may be used or created on Young Justice Fanon Wikia. This is to ensure that each article remains well sorted and, as a site, we retain a higher level of camaraderie compared to other wikis. Each infobox is coded so that they are aligned on the right side of the page as this is the preferred and most excepted alignment across all wiki sites.
A page is divided up into many different sections that allows easier access for users to jump to specific points of information within the article. On Young Justice Fanon Wikia, there are a range of sections that must be included on all pages, sections that vary depending on the type of page (i.e.- Character page, Power page, Organization page, etc.). These sections may also be broken down further into other subsections, being used mostly for the powers & abilities section, but it can also be used for other sections. For instance, if your character has a mental disorder, like Dissociative Identity Disorder (multiple personality disorder), you may want to include a sub section in the Personality section detailing these other personalities. In order to add a section to a character's page, or any page for that matter, one only needs to put the word within two sets of “equals” symbols on either side of the word, the result looking like ==Section Name== . The minimal number of equals signs needed to make a section title is two and adding one additional equals symbol on either side will further reduce the placement of the section. As such, the appropriate page must include the following sections:
Powers & Abilities
Sub Powers & Abilities (if applicable)
The comments section is for conversations on maintenance and article correctness only, as well as generic things you like about the article. This includes: inquiries dealing with the organization of the article, correction of inaccurate details, adding/removing content, etc. Also, note that if a discussion is closed, do not continue posting under it, and do not reopen a recently closed topic by creating a new section under it.
Vandalism & Language
Removing or replacing content from someone else's page without their permission is considered vandalism.
Young Justice Fanon Wikia is an encyclopedia of fan-based creation set in the Young Justice universe of Earth-16. Correct and official terms shall be used at all times: slang terms and/or vulgar slang terms are strictly prohibited on Young Justice Fanon Wikia.
The removal of proper terms to replace with slang terms on a page by a user who does not own that article is considered vandalism.

As in the Young Justice television show that was once featured Cartoon Network, all pages will be kept at a TV-Y7 rating, maximum. This means that even words such as “damn” or “shit,” words that some may not even consider “swear words,” are prohibited.
When editing, please keep in mind that you can edit specific sections, such as a personality section, individually. However, it is against site policy, and is thus prohibited, to edit multiple sections on the same page in quick succession: this is known as “edit fluffing.” If you do wish to edit multiple sections of the page, please click the edit button at the very top of the page to bring up the entire page in the editor.
All images put on Young Justice Fanon Wikia should strictly adhere to the Image Policy which will be enforced. All images on this site shall not, under any circumstances, contain nudity of any form or contain excessive amounts of gore. In addition, video game images of any kind are prohibited from use on the site: only images of characters from other animated television shows, including anime and other cartoons, may be used. If characters from other animated television shows and anime are used, that user is required to give credit to the original character whose images they are using under the “Trivia” section of the page. If original images are used, including ones obtained from DeviantART, the user is required to say whom they obtained them from, whether they were obtained via commission or borrowing. The user who creates the page is obligated to credit the DeviantART artist that they bought or borrowed the image from under the “Trivia” section of the page. In addition, since this is a site that is dedicated to Young Justice fan fiction, as our name suggests, priority is always placed on the use of images from the Young Justice series. For instance, if someone decides to make a page for the power of Telekinesis, one should find an image of Telekinesis being utilized on Young Justice first. Then, if there is not an image of Telekinesis being used on Young Justice, a user is allowed to bring in imagery from other animated television shows.

Lastly, if the character is of evil alignment, then the page must feature an infobox for evil characters. The location page must have it's own infobox that features an image of the location and all pertinent or applicable information. Also, individual subsections of locations, especially towns/cities/villages, are prohibited unless the information featured on said page would be relevant and abundant enough to have it's own page. For instance, one would be able to create the Gotham City page and the Batcave page, but not a page entitled Batman's Closet'. The location page must have a property tag that denotes the user who created it as the owner of the article. Lastly, the location page must be grammatically correct and legible to all site users, written clearly in English. Below are some examples:

The race page must have a property tag that denotes the user who created it as the owner of the article. Lastly, the race page must be grammatically correct and legible to all site users, written clearly in English. Below are some examples:

The roleplay page must have a property tag that denotes the users who created the page and who are contributing to it as the owners of the article. Lastly, the roleplay must be grammatically correct and legible to all site users, written clearly in English.
Roleplays are special stories that are written by two or more users on a turn based basis using their own fan based characters and other characters from the original series. As such, the absolute minimum number of users that are needed to conduct a roleplay are two (2) however there is no maximum number of users: dozens of users may be involved in a roleplay, if desired. The stories can last as long as desired and can be broken up into a series of multiple roleplays, if desired by the users involved. These roleplays can chronicle any situation featuring the characters involved with the sole exception being roleplays that are pornographic in nature (i.e.- Roleplays involving sexual themes). All roleplays should by kept to a TV-Y7 rating, as was the Young Justice television show, meaning that swearing in roleplays is strictly prohibited.
Using Canon Characters
The use of canon characters, or characters that are featured in the original Young Justice series, are allowable. The one stipulation is that the user who intends to use canon characters must make their own version of that canon character on Young Justice Fanon Wikia. To do so, a user needs to make the character page as such: <code>[[Canon Character Name (User Name)]]</code>. The page should contain both canon information attained from our parent site, Young Justice Wiki, as well as fanon information, fan-based information added by that user.
First and foremost, are or exceptional races, including the Kryptonians, Amazons, Martians and Atlanteans, require admin permission in order to be utilized. The reason for this is because these races produce powerful beings with an abnormally long list of superpowers that could easily overrun most balanced characters. Therefore, a form must be completed and sent to the appropriate admin via their message wall describing, in detail, how that particularly character will fit into the universe of Young Justice. A reasonable explanation of that character's strengths and weaknesses will also be provided to a degree that the admin feels the character is balanced enough for use on the site.
Human hybrids who are also partial members of an exceptional race also require admin permission for many of the reasons listed above. These types of characters will be more welcome than full-fledged versions of an exceptional race, however, particularly because of the dilution that occurs to their power level. Superboy, for instance, is a Human-Kryptonian hybrid and only has about half of the superpowers that his genetic template, Superman, has. This is because human hybrids are not as strong as a full-fledged versions of an exceptional race and have more drawbacks.
Any hybrids between other exceptional races, such as Kryptonian-Amazon hybrids or Atlantean-Martian hybrids to name a few, are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Taking and combining any of these races would form a conglomeration of power culminating into one single person with very few plausible drawbacks, if any.
When renaming page Y to Z, in addition to tracking down all the links to Y and change them to Z as well, we need to find all incidences of Y being used in the articles which are not links. As such, if a page is renamed or linked to another page, all instances of Y being used should be changed over to Z instead. In addition, an admin should be notified immediately that the page has been renamed and given a link to the old page so that it may deleted. That way there is less confusion on the part of the whole community.
